Vocateca YouTube Sender — what the browser extension does with your data.

The Vocateca YouTube Sender extension collects no data, sends nothing to any server, and has no analytics or tracking. Its only job is to hand a YouTube link to the Vocateca app already installed on your Mac.
What the extension does
On a YouTube watch page the extension adds one button to the action row. When you click it, the extension reads the current page's URL and opens a vocateca:// link, which your operating system routes to the Vocateca app on your Mac. That is its entire function.
Data it collects
None. No personal data, no browsing history, no analytics, no cookies, no identifiers. The only value the extension ever touches is the URL of the YouTube page you are actively viewing, and only at the moment you click the button. That URL is passed solely to your own locally installed app via an operating-system deep link — never to the developer and never to any third party.
Permissions
The extension requests no host permissions and no special permissions. It declares a single content script that runs only on youtube.com watch pages, for the sole purpose of injecting the button. It makes no network requests and contains no remote code.
Sharing and selling
Nothing is shared and nothing is sold. Because the extension makes no network requests, no data ever leaves your machine through it.
The Vocateca app
Once the app receives the link, how it fetches and processes that video is covered by the Vocateca privacy policy. Transcription and speaker identification run entirely on your Mac; your audio and transcripts never touch a Vocateca server.
